We meet three times a week for 90 minutes of training. We have Class Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7:00-8:30pm, and Saturday morning 11:00am-12:30pm. There is also a class just for kids, ages 4-10, on Saturday 10:00-10:50 am
The purpose of the Christian Martial Arts Academy is to offer an alternative to secular martial arts schools. We enjoy all the benefits of good heart pumping training and effective self-defense, without any eastern religious truth claims or faith practices.
If you are wishing to study martial arts, but you do not want exposure to non-Christian ideas, or you want to be involved with a new exciting tool for sharing your faith join us at Forest Park Community Church.
The cost to join group classes is only $80 a month for one person, and the whole family can join for $120 a month. Longer term payment sessions get discounts: for one person $230 for 3 months, $440 for 6 months, and $800 for the year. For a family $345 for 3 months, $660 for 6 months, and $1,200 for a year
We also offer a discounted rate for active military or anyone working in law enforcement
Private lessons for 30 mins once a week are available by schedule Mon - Fri daytime hours $60 a month.

The Louisville Christian Martial Arts Academy is a certified with the American Kenpo Legacy Association and Karate for Christ International. Mr. Conver is a graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, an Elder of Forest Park Community Church, and a speaker for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a 6th degree Black Belt and private student of Master Instructor Kevin Lamkin.
American Kenpo Karate relies on fast combination of strikes and occasionally some Jujutsu restraints to control an attacker. It is a deliberate and scientific take on modern self-defense, offering a wide variety of effective answers to differing self-defense scenarios.
Kenpo Karate as taught at the Louisville Christian Martial Arts Academy is an adjusted version of American Kenpo suited especially for ministry. There is a greater emphasis placed on learning to restrain an opponent, and some of the targets are adjusted to be appropriate for a ministry setting.
We view Martial Arts as a discipleship ministry as well as a self-defense system. It is a complete system of self-defense, as well as a thorough means of expressing the Christian worldview. Utilizing Karate and Jujutsu, while integrating the Bible with each lesson, it is un-apologetically Biblical and deliberately evangelical with every class.
We encourage Wisdom through disciplined Bible study and Action through a personal active ministry to the world. The Christian Martial Arts Academy is dedicated to produce Agents that are equipped to protect the Sanctity of Life of everyone, and represent a Community set apart within a lost world.
